Our Horse Club: Growing for the Future
Our Mid North Working Equitation Club is a friendly club that hosts monthly events at the beautiful Taree Showground. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where riders can further develop their relationship with their horse. We run working equitation training days and provide training opportunities in the areas of Dressage, Obstacles, Poles and Jumping and Novelty activities such as Horse soccer and Polocrosse. We host clinics with professional instructors, Protocol Days and Annual Working Equitation Competition events.
We are very encouraging of new members and hope to see you at our days!

The Perfect Partnership

What is Working Equitation?
The discipline of working equitation was created to celebrate the partnership between horse and rider with a focus on versatility, agility, athleticism and training. Open to all breeds of horse and levels of rider, Australian National Working Equitation upholds the principles of classical dressage.

Working equitation was pioneered by four countries: Italy, Portugal, Spain, and France, with the first International competition being held in 1996. In 2004, the World Association for Working Equitation was established to govern the sport internationally. Since that time, the sport has continued to grow around the world.

The sport involves four phases: Dressage, Ease of Handling, Speed and a Cattle phase.
